Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Montessori-trained teacher to guide our pre-school students (ages 2 1/2 - 6 Yrs) in a prepared Montessori environment. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of learning, promote independence, and create a warm, inclusive classroom community.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement Montessori curriculum for pre-school-aged children, fostering intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
- Prepare and maintain an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Observe and assess each child’s progress, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs.
- Foster independence, self-discipline, and respect in students through Montessori principles.
- Collaborate with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and development.
- Work closely with colleagues to support school-wide goals and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior.
- Participate in professional development and school events.
Qualifications
- Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, or equivalent) for the pre-school level (ages 3-6).
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Montessori or early childhood education setting (preferred). With minimum of 2 years(preferred) as lead teacher.
- Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check and fingerprinting required.
